Zen Tharani receives top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award

Congratulations to Zen Tharani for being a recipient of the 2021 Top 25 Canadian Immigrant Award!

Zen is a graduate from the University of Victoria with a BSc in Health Information Science and the CEO and founder of digital health consulting company Xenex Consulting Inc., in Victoria, B.C. But it was his journey as a young immigrant from Pakistan that inspired his desire to help others thrive. “The balance between people, technology, and the business of the healthcare sector that a Health Information Science career offers has been key in keeping me engaged and passionate about the work I do”.

Zen Tharani’s Top Tip: “Build a profile on LinkedIn and start to connect with people. The whole point of LinkedIn is to enable networking and collaboration, so don’t be afraid to reach out. Don’t shy away from highlighting what you have accomplished [before coming to Canada]. Learning how to contextualize those qualifications and experiences is important. And for that, you will need to ask for help.”
